The Simplephoto team is excited to announce that two of the most highly effective teams in school photography software are joining forces; Simplephoto has been acquired by Fotomerchant! Below are some frequently asked questions regarding the acquisition.
Can I still get the support, services, and integrations I’m used to?
While you remain on the Simplephoto platform, nothing changes regarding the support and services you currently receive. Our goal in the long term is to have a single e-commerce platform that combines the development and support expertise of both the Fotomerchant and Simplephoto teams. We hope to add features to the Fotomerchant platform as necessary to make our e-commerce platform successful for your business.
Will my prices increase?
As long as you’re on the Simplephoto platform, your prices will not increase. When the migration to the Fotomerchant platform occurs, our goal is to keep your e-commerce fees consistent with what you were paying on the Simplephoto platform. We are still working on possible grandfathered pricing plans which will be communicated with you. We hope to keep you extremely pleased with the service our combined company can provide, and we expect that any price increases on the Fotomerchant platform will be offset by the automation and efficiency gains offered by the new platform.
Can I continue to use SimplePhoto? How long will the Simplephoto platform remain active?
We plan to continue to operate and support the Simplephoto platform as it is today for the foreseeable future. We have no plans to discontinue the Simplephoto system. While development efforts are now focused on expanding the Fotomerchant platform, maintenance and security updates will continue on the Simplephoto platform. While you remain on the Simplephoto platform, nothing changes regarding the pricing, support, and services you currently receive. Our primary goal is to keep your business happy and profitable. At the same time, we will work toward a single workflow and sales platform that combines the development and support expertise of both the Fotomerchant and Simplephoto teams.
Are you continuing to enhance and improve the Simplephoto service?
Other than bug fixes and minor enhancements, no. Our full focus will be on rapidly expanding the already great functionality the Fotomerchant platform offers, which includes adding functionality that attracted you to Simplephoto, and that may not be available yet on the Fotomerchant platform.

Both Simplephoto and Fotomerchant offer advanced e-commerce solutions. Both support teams are well experienced and knowledgeable. Unlike Simplephoto, Fotomerchant offers an end to end workflow solution from capture to fulfillment with their Capture, Studio, Commerce, Portal, and Folio range of products.
